The Priest


Father Desmond

I was born to the family of Nnaoma Ambrose Edozie and Late Mrs Rose Edozie on 22nd April 1972 in Isu Amuju Imo within the state of Nigeria. I was ordained a deacon on the 20th December 2000 and then ordained as a priest on the 18th August 2001 from the catholic Diocese of Orlu in Imo state Nigeria.

I’ve had the pleasure of servicing the following parishes:

  • Asst. Parish Priest – St Mary’s Parish – Amaifeke Orule Imo State – Sept 2001-Dec 2003
  • Parish Priest – Queen of Apostles Parish – Umuagor Urualla – Dec 2003 – Sept 2012
  • Parish Priest – Our Lady of Lourdes Parish – Owerri Ebeiri – Sept 2012 – Aug 2014
  • Head Teacher – Cor Mariae High School Urualla – Sept 2010 – Aug 2014
  • Asst Parish Priest – St Peter in Chains – Doncaster – Sept 2014 – Aug 2015
  • Parish Priest – St Albans Parish Denaby Main & English Martyrs Mexborough – Aug 2015 – to present.

In my free time I enjoy reading, lawn tennis, travelling, socialising and show my devotion to Virgin Mary.
