What is the Synod?
Pope Francis has invited all members of the Church—the People of God—to reflect on how we journey together in faith. The word “Synodal” means “journeying together”—finding ways to communicate the core message of Jesus, loving one another through our words and actions, and listening to one another.
The central question posed by Pope Francis is:
“How does this ‘journeying together’ take place today on different levels (from the local to the universal one), allowing the Church to proclaim the Gospel?”
